Getting Authorised
Authorisation by the DNB and/or the AMF is seen as a badge of excellence in the European Union. It is unique to only a handful of National Competent Authorities. It is important to get the authorisation application right. Netherlands Fintech is happy to recommend service providers to applicants based on our knowledge of the market and professionals serving within it.
We recommend you discuss your authorisation application at the earliest stage with CompliReg which was founded by Peter Oakes, a leading fintech expert and independent non-executive director of authorised emoney, MiFID and CASPs. If you do contact them, please let them know you came across their details at Netherlands Fintech.
We always remind visitors to this Authorisation/Regulation page of the words of the DNB: "We can only assess your application if you submit a fully and correctly completed application form and enclose all documents referred to. If your application falls short of these requirements, we will ask you to supplement it. Our three-month consideration period will not start until the application has been completed. This means that the time we need to consider your application greatly depends on the quality of your application and the enclosed documents."
